At RARE-9 Jaguar, we are committed to mentoring 3rd through 12th-grade black male youth in becoming the cornerstone of education, financial success, security, spirituality, and strength in our communities. Our safe place services, mentorship, leadership, advocacy, motivational speakers, tutoring, counseling, and scholarship guidance will equip youth with the tools they need to succeed. The organization is built on three folds: (1) The first is RARE-9 Jaguar Mentorship Program, (2) the second is saying no to guns and gun violence, and (3) the third is aftercare for teenagers seventeen and older.
Spirit Animals (2023) states that the black Jaguar is a spirit animal that symbolizes wisdom, power, and authority. Black Jaguars thrive in small groups or on their own. It possesses strong will, confidence, dignity, and emotional intelligence. Most important it maintains positive energy.

The RARE-9 Jaguar Vision
The RARE-9 Jaguar Mentorship organization is the Premier Mentor Program for Disabled, At-Risk, Gay, Bi-Sexual, Troubled, 3rd Grade through 12th-grade black male youth. This program is rooted in self-esteem; meaning these youth can survive and thrive in a system that provides nutrients for the soul. RARE-9 Jaguar establishes a book and guide that mentees can use in times of perils. The end result will be that 80% of the mentees will be successful and productive youth graduating from school while retaining the following as future growth tools:
R - Respect
A - Admiration
R - Rationalization
E - Everyone (Love Others)

****Establish qualified barbershops as hubs for relationship building between mentors/mentees****
The organization will create mentor advocates positions responsible for mentees twenty-four hours a day five days a week and a team player with all stakeholders. The mentor advocate will be aware of what is going on with mentee, attending and reporting on all meetings, home visits, when mentee has counseling sessions, doctor’s appointments, school Individual Educational Plans and 504 Behavioral Modification Plans. The organization will hold sessions on saying no to guns for black males age five years to eight years old and parents/guardians must accompany the black male mentee.
